Pub Game Night fundraiser

Cost is $3.00 per person for gaming only, or $15.00 for your choice of a beef or veggie burger, fries, a pop, and gaming. Pay in person, in cash please! We'll be eating from 7:00-8:00 or so, then gaming until we get sleepy and go home.
This is a casual game night, and newbies are welcome. There will be folks on hand to teach you if you're brand new to a game, and board games will be supplied, but if you own a game you'd like to play, bring it along!

Pure Speculation's Mini Spec Festival

MINI SPEC was a smaller version of the festival with all the thrills and chills of the Edmonton “fall classic”! It was a 3 hour super-slick, extra nerdy extravaganza with presentations, seriously cool auction items and take-to-your-grave door prizes!
MINISTER FAUST, our Literary Guest,
held selected readings from his books along with giving some great insight on the geekdom that resides in Edmonton!
ROB BARTEL, our Gaming Guest,
game designer to the stars! Or at least, designs games potentially with stars in them! Tricks of the game design trade and some sweet prototypes!
MIKE PERSCHON, our Pop-Culture Guest,
crafted a new, mini lecture in his famous Steampunk vein, around the new movie SUCKER PUNCH!
ROBERT WOODBURY, our Artist Guest! Robert's talents were raffled away for 15 custom, on-the-spot caricatures!
Auction items:
- A Calgary Expo VIP pass! Limited to only 200 and already sold out, VIP Pass holders will be granted early entry, 3-day Expo access, VIP Tour Groups, VIP Wristband, Lanyard, VIP Badge, 2011 Artbook and front of the line privileges, along with a special seating area in the main events room!
- A killblade and a handspike prop from the TV show "V"! Both props were used on screen during filming and will make for a very cool display on your fireplace mantle, right under the mounted lizard head!
- A one-on-one lunch with your choice of one of this year’s main festival’s Guest of Honour (Literary, Art, Media or Gaming)
- A set of amazing SANDMAN bookends!
This stupendous event was hosted by two of Edmonton’s foremost geeks, ADAM ROZENHART and BRITTNEY LEBLANC and all the proceeds from this event will be shared between the Pure Spec Festival and a local charity (to be announced soon)!
